Leur album emblématique de 1975, Troupeau Bleu, est aujourd'hui considéré comme un chef-d'œuvre et est devenu une pierre angulaire de la culture du sampling hip-hop. Ses grooves intemporels ont été réinterprétés par des artistes tels que Tyler, the Creator, Madlib, Rick Ross, Kanye West, Baby Keem et Damso. Avec plus de 220 échantillonnages répertoriés et plus de 120 millions d'écoutes sur l'ensemble des plateformes, l'influence de Cortex continue de résonner autant dans les univers du jazz que du hip-hop, créant un pont vivant entre l'âge d'or du jazz-funk français et la nouvelle génération de beatmakers.

Los Angeles based electronic duo Spike Hellis comprises of Cortland Gibson and Elaine "Lainey" Chang, who got their start on Halloween of 2019. They self-released their first full-length, self-titled album in April 2022 under their imprint Over-Pop.

Since finishing the album, Spike Hellis has hit the road hard with zero hesitation—completing tours throughout North America, Europe and Latin America. They've performed in good company with artists and friends, including Front 242, Nitzer Ebb, ADULT., Kontravoid, Choir Boy, Portrayal of Guilt, Plack Blague, Pixel Grip, Twin Tribes and numerous others. They have made frequent appearances at festivals such as Cold Waves, Ombra, Grauzone, Sound and Fury, Substance and Sanctum.

Spike Hellis will release their sophomore LP, Successor, on August 7, 2026, followed by an extensive fall tour across the US and Canada.

Blasting their bleak outlook and spreading their gospel of disenchantment and sarcasm, Spike Hellis announce their arrival.

Moin are a three piece based in London that comprises of Tom Halstead and Joe Andrews of the band Raime (Blackest Ever Black, RR) and percussionist Valentina Magaletti who operates over a great range of projects such as Vanishing Twin, Tomaga and Lafawandah.

The band navigate a revolving set of influences from obvious touch points such as alt rock, post-punk, art-rock and doom metal to more abstract ideas found in improv and found sound recording. In addition to these more closely related areas, shades of electronic music are still present providing a constant dialogue between the two practices.

The sound is direct but subtly re-assembled.

In the rift between sound design, early emo, rock and pop, Horse Vision continues to elaborate on an alternative approach to traditional songwriting with a somewhat definitive, future-forward guitar music aesthetic. With the release of their 13-track album “Another Life”, Horse Vision conglomerates a distinct selection of acoustic instruments and their synthesized counterparts; the acoustic guitar and its synthetic equivalent, the recorded vocal and the vocaloid – weaving a musical landscape that is at once sincere and strangely familiar. When performing live, the foundation on which the band originates is at most evident, consisting of a classic rock trio setting with bass, drums and guitars.

Machine Girl have always operated as an inimitable, inventive, and individual sonic

phenomenon. The newly trio’d—Matt Stephenson [vocals, producer], Sean Kelly

[drums], and Lucy Caputi [guitar]—fortify a punk exoskeleton with electronic alchemy

and cinematic ambition outfitted for an uncompromisingly heavy attack. Rave, metal,

punk, and pummeling electronic (and real) drums collide and splinter like shrapnel into

kaleidoscopic blasts of vibrant color and visceral sound.

After amassing millions of fans, hundreds of millions of streams, inciting critical acclaim,

and captivating at cap crowds in nineteen (19) countries YTD in 2025 so far, the band

continue to elevate on their seventh full-length LP, Psycho Warrior.

“I’d been reading analytical psychology and the writings of Joseph Campbell and Jung,”

recalls Matt. “There’s a concept of the collective unconscious and these archetypes that

we innately have. We adopt different personae in order to get through the day. In

essence, you complete yourself by facing your shadow self. To do so, you must accept

the less savory aspects of who you are. There’s a lot of validity to these theories. Right

now, we’re a very psychologically damaged culture and society. We’re being pushed

over the edge with social media and technology. Any chance of resistance against these

systems starts in the mind, so this was the genesis of Psycho Warrior.”

Machine Girl carved out an incomparable lane upon arrival in 2012. Stephenson’s 2014

full-length debut LP, Wlfgrl, achieved bona fide cult status shocked to life by “Out by 16,

Dead on the Scene,” “Ghost,” and “Mg1,” which reeled in north of 43 million Spotify

streams and counting. Their sound proceeded to completely reinvent itself across each

LP that followed - Gemini [2015], …Because I’m Young Arrogant and Hate Everything

You Stand For [2017], The Ugly Art [2018], U-Void Synthesizer [2020], and 2022’s

two-part Original Soundtrack for the video game Neon White. Most recently, 2024’s MG

Ultra incited the most enthusiastic critical applause of the band’s career so far. Pitchfork

professed, “Their music together plays like the soundtrack to the final boss level of

some finger-blistering bullet hell,” and Dazed mused, “it’s hard to imagine a better

soundtrack for the revolution than Machine Girl.”
